With Rusty Day watching over his former band mates from a better place, Cactus has returned to what it does best - crunching, crashing, blues-rock, music that insures that you cannot sit down. Oh, the Cactus boys are back!!! Okay, three of the four originals have gotten together again to bring back the thunderous sounds of 30 years gone by and what a return it is. What a great band, then & now.really happy to see this band back together The 14 brand new tunes on this great album just flat out ROCK!!!!! Bogert, Appice, and McCarty have never rocked any harder and new singer, Jimmy Kunes, is as good a replacement for the dearly departed, Rusty Day, that youll ever going to find. the origional members of Cactus have reunited and put out a monster that sounds as if the band has progressed exactly were they left off, after the "Restrictions" album. If anybody out there has been wondering,"Why is it that all the hard-rocking bands of today, seem to sound all alike"? Well have no fear because after about 30 yrs. Add to that ex-Savoy Brown singer Jimmy Kunes, and you¹ve got a hot nasty blues metal machine. And with Jim McCarty back with the guys, look out. In fact, Carmine and Tim have been out just killing crowds with the original lineup of their pre-Cactus band Vanilla Fudge, so expect quality in the box. Rusty Day is no longer among the walking, but Carmine, Tim and Jim, the music of this relentlessly live consortium, are very much alive and grinding out quality classic rock. Look up underrated in the dictionary, and you'll be lookin' at a picture of four very hairy guys. Carmine Appice, Tim Bogert, Jim McCarty and Rusty Day made an impression with their loud, blues-edged hard rock madness, with rockers such as Van Halen, Monster Magnet, Kings X., Billy Sheehan, David Coverdale, Kid Rock and Ted Nugent having been documented in interviews as fans of the loud and proud sensation.
